Thanks again to Tom Barnas for booking me and Antwan Lewis for interviewing me – both great guys to work with!

Ps. I know, I’ve fallen behind on my ‘69 MLB postings.  I was out of town, but I’ll catch up soon.

‘1969′ ON WGN/WGN AMERICA

If you live in the Chicago area, or if you get the WGN American superstation on your cable package, I’m going to be on the “WGN Midday News” tomorrow, June 18, scheduled for 12:25 to 12:30 PM CT.

More to come on a publicity gig in Las Vegas for July, and also on the air date for the Free Love: Sex in ‘69 History Channel documentary for which I was interviewed.

Whew, busy week…

WGN PODCAST AND SIRIUS XM GUEST DJ SHOW

Just a quick post to say thanks to Nick Digilio and producer Andy Herman for having me on The Nick Digilio Show on WGN 720 AM in Chicago last night.  It was really one of my most enjoyable radio spots, and Nick was very enthusiastic about the book.  (And I was happy to give Bears fans a sense of what they can look forward to from their new quarterback.) If you missed it, you can access the 4-part podcast at: http://feeds2.feedburner.com/wgnradio/nickdigiliouncut

And don’t forget, my hour-long guest DJ spot on Sirius XM’s E Street Radio runs Monday at 4:oo PM ET, then again at midnight ET and again on Tuesday morning at 8:00 ET. For more information, go to http://www.sirius.com/estreetradio

‘1969′ ON WGN, THE VOICE OF CHICAGO

Speaking of Chicago…Tonight I’ll be on WGN Radio 720, The Voice of Chicago, for a phone interview on The Nick Digilio Show starting at 9:06 PM CT/10:06 ET PM.

I was excited we booked this interview. WGN is a legendary AM station that dates back to the early 1920s and can be heard at night over much of the United States and parts of Canada, and (according to Wikipedia) as far away as South America and Australia! And, of course, you can hear a live stream at www.wgnradio.com

Greetings from Rob

Thanks for visiting my web site! Throughout 2009, I'll be turning back the clock by 40 years to revisit key events from that exciting year of 1969. Keep checking back for updates to my blog on 1969: The Year Everything Changed, as well as stories related to my new books on Bruce Springsteen and baseball star Cecil Travis.
