I wouldn't say that any charges have been filed. I posted a blog entry on the coincidence, but come on, when a book with virtually the same title is slated to come out shortly after mine, you gotta allow me that! I imagine if my book had published after yours, I'd have heard some accusations on various fronts that I was copying you. In this case, perhaps I lucked out on the timing - though I wouldn't necessarily call it "luck" because I also worked on my book for quite some time, and my publisher and I very consciously aimed to have my book come out at the beginning of the year. If anything, I chalk it up to the industry having either (a) gotten the process of naming books down to a science, or (b) having reduced it to a formula, depending upon one's perspective.
